Henry Karnofski, was nominated as the District IV Executive Board representative (M/S/P)

Reviewed amendments, will be voted on at April meeting

Dick Scobba, Columbia Valley league, will be a nonvoting member of the District IV, for the remainder of this year

DISCUSSION

1.      Review of By-law Article 5.0

         Discussion if the By-law was still appropriate.  The By-law states “ Delegates are to represent WIAA District IV at the Representative Assembly uninstructed unless instructed to vote for or against a particular amendment by a two-thirds majority vote of the District IV Executive Board”  After considerable discussion a motion was passed to amend the by-law to state “  any amendment presented by District IV, delegates will be uninstructed”

2.      What is happening with the financial problems facing schools

a.        Schools dropping programs

b.      Pay for play

c.       Huge cuts in the Athletic budgets

d.      Junior Highs dropping from the WIAA  ( Major reason officials costs)

e.       More creative scheduling
